*After a fabulous, train-themed birthday party for a friend today, all the kids got a bindlestick with some snacks, a little wind-up train, and a train whistle*

“Mommy, how does this work?” Is holds up the whistle.
“You just blow in this end, here, and it makes a sound, like the whistle on a steam train.”
“It’s tuned to make the sound, and it’s hollow, so you just blow into this part and it makes noise. Try it.”
“See? What do you think?”
“Mom? It’s really LOUD.”
“I know! Isn’t it fun?”
“Yes! I love my train whistle. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!”
