“Why did you take the front off my crib?”
“Is, we did that months and months ago.”
“But why?”
“Well, a few reasons. You’re too big now for me to lift you over the rail, and you can’t get in and out by yourself, and get on the potty.”
“My brain says… he doesn’t like it.”
“I’m sorry, Is, but we can’t put it back on right now, it’s up in the attic, and it’s bedtime now.”
“That’s OK. My heart says it’s OK.”
